As Pharmacist Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the pharmacy department. Coordinate and direct all activities related to the dispensing, receipt, and handling of medications and associated products within regulatory guidelines. Responsible for increasing prescription volume and customer base by providing exceptional customer service. Focus on profitability of pharmacy department by implementing and practicing cost effective business practices. Ensure a professional image by providing courteous, friendly, and exceptional customer service to customers and team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the overall daily operation of the pharmacy department
Process prescription order entry and verification
Perform immunizations on a regular basis
Ensure pharmacy employees are developed through proper employee training, establishment of objectives, communication of rules, processes and procedures
Improve pharmacy prescription volume, profit, customer base through courteous and efficient service to all customers
Analyze and recommend loss prevention procedures and assures proper implementation of internal controls
Plan and coordinate promotional programs for pharmacy department
Conduct regularly scheduled inventories and checks pharmacy security procedures
Ensure that established workflow is adhered to within pharmacy department
Review pharmacy department policies, procedures, and inventory to ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations.
Ensure compliance with DEA and state Board of Pharmacy regulations regarding maintenance of records and documents
Monitor compliance in pharmacy by conducting regular audits and verifying that the proper records, including controlled substance records, are kept on-hand and are made readily available
Coordinate and audit an inventory level based on department prescription volume, maintaining a satisfactory perpetual inventory
Take ownership of department appearance by maintaining its order and cleanliness
Resolve customer complaints regarding all aspects of pharmacy department operations
Determine pricing of product to ensure profitability of the department
Build growth and sales through counseling customers on OTC medications and products
Assist with the hiring and promoting of pharmacy personnel
Maintain a positive attitude
Excellent customer service skills with a customer focused attitude
Motivate, inspire and develop pharmacy support staff
Promote teamwork
Facilitate a ‘team’ culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm and pride and builds morale

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Characteristics:
2-5 years of management experience
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Excellent leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy School; preferably with a PharmD. degree
